Little Things is made by Everminimal Studio, L.L.C., a Texas limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Little Things app on iPhone and iPad. Our website has its own policy, at everminimal.com/privacy.
For the little personal information we do receive, which is mostly emails you send us, we're the "controller" or "business" under privacy law. Our contact details are at the end.
Everything you put into Little Things stays on your device: tasks, steps, to-dos, folders, your day plans, how long your steps took, and your settings. It's kept in a space only Little Things and its own widgets can open. We never receive it.
If "Keep tasks in iCloud" is on, which it is to start with, your tasks are also kept in your private iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. That's how they reach your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Apple's push service tells the app when something changed on another device. Apple stores and sends this under Apple's privacy policy, and we can't see or read it. You can turn it off at any time in Little Things, under Settings, then iCloud.
When you share a folder, the people you invite can see and change everything in it, and you can see what they add. Each of you sees the others' names as they appear in iCloud, and who finished or added what. A shared folder is kept in the iCloud account of the person who shared it. You can stop sharing a folder, or leave one, at any time.
Sizing a brain dump uses Apple Intelligence on your device. What you write is read on the device, and isn't sent to us or anyone else. The sizes it suggests are only suggestions, and you can change any of them.
Focus timer alerts and the daily nudge are set up on your device. Nothing goes through a server of ours, because we don't have one. Widgets and Live Activities read your tasks from the device. If you use Siri or Shortcuts with Little Things, Apple handles that request under its own privacy policy.
"Send feedback" opens an email to hello@everminimal.com, with the app version, your device model and its iOS version below your message. You can delete those lines before you send it. Emailing us is always your choice, and nothing in the app needs it.
When you write, we get your email address, your name if your email shows it, what you write, and anything you attach. We use it only to reply to you and to make the app better. Our email provider stores messages on our behalf.
We delete a conversation within 12 months after it ends, or sooner if you ask. We keep something longer only if the law requires us to.
Please leave out health information, as the Health information section below explains, and anything else sensitive, such as financial details or government ID numbers.
We don't collect, ask for or want health information of any kind. That includes any diagnosis, condition, symptom, medication or treatment, ADHD included, and anything about your physical or mental health.
Little Things is made with ADHD in mind, but it isn't a health or medical app. Nothing you put in it reaches us, so nothing in it tells us anything about your health.
Please never send health information to us, in an email or any other way. If a message reaches us with health information in it anyway, we won't use that information for anything. We'll answer the rest of your message without it, then delete the whole message.
If you buy a subscription or a one-time purchase, Apple handles the payment. We don't get your name, your payment details or your Apple Account. Apple tells the app only what you've bought, so it can unlock it.
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send us crash reports and usage numbers. They don't include your tasks, and they don't tell us who you are. We use them only to find and fix problems. You can stop them at any time in the Settings app, under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.
Because Little Things doesn't track you, it works the same whether or not your device sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We don't let anyone else track you through the app.
Little Things isn't made for children under 13 (under 16 in the EU and UK), and we don't collect personal information from anyone through the app, children included. If you think a child has emailed us, tell us and we'll delete it.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
Write to hello@everminimal.com from the address you emailed us from, so we know it's you. We'll answer within one month, and tell you if we need longer, which the law allows for complicated requests. It's free, and using your rights never changes how the app works for you.
If we turn a request down, we'll tell you why. In US states with their own privacy law, such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Texas, you can appeal by replying with "Appeal" in the subject. We'll answer within 45 days, and if you're still not happy, you can contact your state's attorney general.
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR, we use personal information only on these grounds:
We don't process health information or any other special category of personal data. If some reaches us anyway, we delete it, as the Health information section says.
We're based in the United States, so emails you send us are read there, and our email provider may store them in another country. Where the law requires, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
You can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work. In the UK, that's the Information Commissioner's Office. We'd like the chance to help first, so please write to us.
We haven't appointed a representative in the EU or the UK. We only receive personal information when people choose to write to us, now and then, which we understand the law doesn't require a representative for.
California law asks us to list what we've collected in the past 12 months. From emails you send us only, we may have collected:
It all comes from you, and it's used only for the reasons above. We disclose it only to our email provider, which stores it for us. We don't sell or share personal information, as California law defines those words, and we don't use sensitive personal information to infer anything about you. We don't give personal information to anyone for their own marketing.
Wherever you live, including Canada, Brazil, Switzerland and Australia, you have the rights above. In Canada you can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
If this policy changes, we'll change the date at the top and say so in What's new. If a change would let us collect or use your information in a new way, we'll ask you first.
